Lodging

For your convenience, a room block has been set up at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia for conference guests. The name of the block is “10th Annual Meeting for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer.” Rooms have been blocked off for Wednesday through Sunday nights, February 24 - 28, 2010. Rooms are available at a discounted rate of $159 per night, plus 15% tax. Please make your reservation prior to January 29, 2010, to ensure you receive the group discount. Check-in time on Friday is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time on Sunday is noon.

Early Departure Fee
Once you have checked in to the hotel, please be aware that should you check out prior to your reserved checkout date for reasons other than medical, an early departure fee of $75.00 will be charged.  Should you wish to avoid this fee, you must advise Hotel at or before check-in of any change in the scheduled length of stay.  Only early departures resulting from a medical-related issues or work or family emergencies are exempt from this policy and will require written documentation. Should this fee be applied, it is NOT eligible for reimbursement.

LBBC and YSC committed to a certain number of hotel sleeping rooms to obtain the meeting space for this conference. Help us avoid penalties by reserving your sleeping room at the conference hotel rather than other hotels.

By Airplane

The Hartsfield Jackson International Airport services the Atlanta, Georgia area. Airfare discounts are available through AirTran Airways), American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta, Midwest Airlines and Northwest Airlines.

To obtain the AirTran Airways discount:

  • Call 866-683-8368 and receive a 10 percent discount on the lowest available one-way fare.

  • Discounted fares are non-refundable

To obtain the American Airlines discount:

  • Visit www.aa.com to receive a 5 percent discount on the lowest applicable published fare or call (800) 433-1790 to reserve your ticket for a $20 service fee charge.
  • Provide the promotion code 3220AK.
  • Offer valid for travel dates between February 19 and March 8, 2010, to Hartsfield Jackson International Airport ONLY.
  • International attendees should call your local reservations number and reference the promotion code 3220AK.

To obtain the Continental Airlines discount:

  • Receive an additional 3 percent discount by booking your reservations online at www.continental.com. Choose your flight times and access your meeting discounts by inserting ZGEPD06H9Y in the offer code box.
  • Call your travel professional or Continental Meeting Works at (800) 468-7022 to reserve your ticket for a $20 service fee. Refer to Z code ZGEP and agreement code D06H9Y.
  • Receive a 2 to 15 percent discount depending on price of fare or Zone fares.
  • Offer valid for travel dates between February 23 and March 3, 2010.

To obtain the Delta Airlines discount:
In order to receive discount, you must access Delta flights via the Northwest site

  • Receive a 2 to 7 percent discount depending on the originating city by visiting www.nwa.com and entering discount code NY29H in promo box or calling (800) 328-1111.
  • Offer valid for travel dates between February 20 and March 7, 2010.

To obtain the Midwest Airlines discount:

  • Save up to 10 percent on your airfare by visiting www.midwestairlines.com and entering discount code CMZ7135 in promo box or calling (800) 452-2022 and providing discount code CMZ7135 to reservations agent.
  • Purchases made within 60 days of travel dates will receive a 6 percent discount. 
  • Offer valid for travel dates between February 20 and March 7, 2010.

To obtain the Northwest Airlines discount:

Getting to the Sheraton from the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport

The Atlanta Link is offering discount airport transportation for attendance to the 10th Annual Conference for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer. The following options are available:

1) Airport shuttle ride share web tickets are $29 roundtrip. This is a shared ride service. The driver has 25 minutes on airport property from the time the first passenger is placed in the vehicle. There may be other passengers going to various locations.

By Train

Amtrak runs directly into Atlanta with service throughout the United States. Visit AMTRAK’s website for timetables and train information.

By Bus

The Metropolitan Transit Authority (MARTA) operates Atlanta’s local public transportation system. Bus times vary on individual routes. Visit www.itsmarta.com/bus-schedules.aspx to purchase tickets.
